Internet Crime Complaint Center Virus. Methods of removal.

Internet Crime Complaint Center Virus is one more ransomware that should be eliminated. But it doesn't want to go away so easy. Because like any other ransomware this one blocks your entire system once it penetrates inside your PC. The virus wants you to believe that it is an official program and it has all right to demand the money for something. And it demands certain sum of money to unblock your system. Apparently, your system spreads lots of illegal stuff all over the internet. But, as usul, this is only one side of the story.

Here is how the virus' message can look like:

Internet Crime Complaint Center Department of Federal Bureau of Investigation Threat of prosecution reminder You have been violating Copyright and Related Rights Law (Video, Music, Software) and illegally using or distributing copyrighted content, thus infringing Article 1, Section 8, Clause 8, also known as the Copyright of the Criminal Code of United States of America. Article 1, Section 8, Clause 8 of the Criminal Code provides for a fine of two to five hundred minimal wages or a deprivation of liberty for two to eight years. You have been viewing or distributing prohibited pornographic content (child porn, zoofilia, etc.) thus violating article 202 of the Criminal Code of the United States of America. Article 202 of the Criminal Code provides for a deprivation of liberty for four to twelve years.

Think twice before giving your money away to these frauds. Remember! Internet Crime Complaint Center is not an officila program; this is a virus that wants to steal your money. None of good programs can really ask you to pay money for something. This should be the first sign of the threat for you.

Removal guide of Internet Crime Complaint Center Virus:

1. Restart your computer and press F8 while it is restarting. 2. Choose safe mode with networking. Safe Mode with Networking 3. Launch MSConfig. Press Start --> Run RUN or press [Win]+R on keyboard Type MSConfig msconfig 4. Disable startup items rundll32 turning on any application from Application Data. 5. Restart your system once again. 6. Scan with http://trojan-killer.net/download.php?trojankiller to identify file and delete it.

If you cannot use Safe Mode, try rebooting normally. You may be able to run your antimalware for a short period of time. If you can do it, follow these steps:

STEP 1.

Before the very boot process begins keep repeatedly hitting F8 button on your keyboard. In the window that appeared select Safe mode with command prompt option and press Enter.Safe mode with command prompt

STEP 2.

Launch regedit. Search for Winlogon. Press Start --> Run RUN or press [Win]+R on keyboard Type regedit

STEP 3.

There will be a key labeled Shell under Winlogon. It should reference Explorer.exe or be blank. If there is something else referring an executable in one of user’s folders, replace it with explorer.exe.

STEP 4.

Save changes, reboot to safe mode with networking.

Restart your computer and press F8 while it is restarting. Choose safe mode with networking. Safe Mode with Networking

STEP 5.

Launch MSConfig. Press Start --> Run RUN or press [Win]+R on keyboard Type MSConfig msconfig

STEP 6.

Install and run http://trojan-killer.net/download.php?trojankiller Scan with it the PC and delete Internet Crime Complaint Center Virus executables it finds.
