Vuze toolbar. Removal guide.

What is Vuze toolbar and how bad its influence can be on your system? Vuze toolbar installs itself into your system to almost all Internet browsers such as Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, and Apple Safari. What doesit do? It helps users to find and to run facebook and twitter and download the video files from the Vuze video website. Vuze toolbar claims to have the uninstall option before you install it. But it actually doesnt. And that is why there are a lot of complains from users in the web as to this question. Vuze toolbar can be disabled but not removed. This is a bad news to lots of users because it automatically changes your search page and start page.

And as many users do not like their start page and search page to be changed, we actually do not like it too. That is why we are here to help you to delete Vuze toolbar. Of course, the toolbar can be installed by you directly or it can be installed by its own. And in this case, if the toolbar is installed by its own, it means that your system is hijacked and you need to scan and to check it with proper antivirus software. We suggest you to do the scanning with our recommended software below.

But if you have installed Vuze toolbar by yourself and want to delete it here are few steps to do that:

  • Go to control panel. Uninstall Vuze Toolbar. You should also uninstall other software you do not know about and that was installed the same day as this toolbar.
  • Open your browser. Go to extensions/pluggins. Check if there are no more files that belong to Vuze. Delete all other extensions but Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle, Sun or Google.
  • Reset your Search provider depending on the browser: On IE: click arrow on the right of search box; on IE8-9 choose Manage Search providers; on ie7 click change search defaults; remove Vuze from the list. On Firefox : in url field type “about:config” (without the quotes); type “Keyword.url” in the search box, right click it & reset it; type “browser.search.defaultengine” in the search box, right click it & reset it. On Google Chrome: click wench icon on browser toolbar; select Settings; select Basics ->Manage Search engines remove Vuze from list.

Scan with anti-malware program GridinSoft Trojan Killer to make sure all infections are removed.
